The Hurricane Season Every year the hurricane season begins June 1 and ends November 30. When there is a hurricane there is a lot of rain and strong wind. Sometimes buildings are blown down, destroyed or washed away. Trees are also blown down. A lot of flooding takes place. When a hurricane is expected the OFFICE OF DISASTER PREPAREDNESS and EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT (ODPEM) sends out information on how to prepare for the hurricane. This information is given by way of the television and radio. Think about and answer the following questions.
