Food is a basic need. We eat food to keep our bodies healthy. We need different
kinds of food.
There are six food groups namely staples, vegetables, fruits, fats and
oil food from animals and legumes.
 This six food groups can be broken down into
three groups of foods which are go, grow, and glow.
Go food or staples give us energy to work and play. These foods also keep our
bodies warm. Some go foods are yam, green banana, cocoa, flour, cornmeal, bread,
pasta, cereal, breadfruit, butter, sugar, oil and so on.
