The subject of a sentence is the name of a person, place animal and thing. Singular nouns are used with singular verbs. Singular means one. For example – The boy dances. Boy means one so a singular verb is used. A singular verb ends with s.
For example, this is Jack he is alone, one person. I can say Jack smiles. Smiles is a singular verb because it has the letter “s”. Remember when a verb ends with the letter “s” it is singular. We use a singular verb because the name is singular. Below are more examples Baby creeps
