Writing a paragraph
Topic: Writing a paragraph
What is a paragraph?
Paragraphs are groups of sentences that share a common idea.
They are all written about a certain topic, just like friends usually share
a common interest.
Paragraphs often include examples or evidence to support a topic,
idea, or opinion.
How do you write a paragraph?
Writing a great paragraph takes skill and lots of practice.
Every paragraph has a topic sentence which is the main point or idea of
the paragraph.
The middle details of the paragraph are about stating facts and providing
evidence to support what you said.
The final sentence of the paragraph is called the concluding sentence because
this is where you restate the point of the paragraph and what your position
is on the topic, by making a concise statement.
After writing the paragraph we must check for errors.
