The Crown: Is the part you see when you smile or open your mouth. The root-: Is below the gum line. It’s about two - thirds (2/3) of the tooth’s total length. The enamel: Is the durable white covering. This enamel on the tooth is the hardest substance in the body. The dentine: Makes up the largest part of the tooth. The pulp: Is in the centre of the tooth. It is a soft tissue which contains blood, lymph vessels and nerve fibres. Activity: 1. What is the meaning of the word enamel? 2. List the parts of the tooth. 3.
