The lungs are used for breathing. Each person has to lungs, one on the right and the other on the left. The lungs are found in the chest. The lungs are protected by the ribcage. The air we breathe enters the body through the nostrils and mouth. The inside of the nose warms the air. Little hairs in the nose catch the dust air. The wetness in the nose catches most of the germs we breathe in. Air from the nostrils through a long tube the trachea or windpipe.
