The Food Groups

The six food groups have substances that help us to live and grow. 
These substances are called nutrients.
 
Here are the food groups           
  1. Carbohydrates is the largest food group.
These food provides the body with heat and energy. 
These foods are called “Go Foods”
Eg. Yam, breadfruit, green bananas etc.
Activity:
  • Give another name for staples?

  • Name the largest food group.

  • How is food energy  measured?

  • What do you carbohydrates do to the body?

  • List three (3) foods  that belong to the carbohydrates group.
