Grade 4: Science (Sept 2020 – July 2021) Week 4 – Lesson 1

Grade: 4
Date: October 6, 2020
Subject: Science
Topic: The Survival of Living Things

Both living and non-living things exist in our environment.

The living things depend on the non-living things to survive.

List three ways Living things depend on Non-Living things
to survive.

1.

2.

3.

All living things need food , air and water to survive.
Plants are called “producers” because they make their own
food through the process of Photosynthesis.

They need sunlight, air and water for this to happen.

Plants also absorb nutrients from the soil through their roots.

Human Beings and animals cannot make their own food.

They get food from plants and animals.
