Subject Verb Agreement.
Indefinite’ expressions like – everyone of, each, no one, each of, somebody, anyone, someone, anybody, any, not one of
are considered singular. Therefore, they take singular verbs.
Example.
1. Each of the children is to receive a gift.
2. Any pupil who disobeys his teacher will be punished.
3. Someone has my pencil.

Read each sentence below, choose the correct form of the verb in brackets.
1. Someone (have,has) to do the chores.
2. Each of us (ride, rides) to school everyday.
3. Every student (study, studies) hard.
